The cybersecurity of space systems has emerged as a critical concern due to their growing role in delivering essential services across sectors such as energy, finance, and transport. This article provides a structured policy analysis and conceptual framework on the cybersecurity of Critical Space Infrastructures (CSI) within the European Union (EU). Drawing on a wide range of recent legislative and strategic documents, the article profiles CSI cyber risks using a multi-dimensional approach, maps the evolving governance and institutional landscape in the EU, and offers targeted recommendations to enhance cyber resilience. The work contributes to current literature by contextualizing CSI within broader EU strategic autonomy and resilience policies, addressing existing gaps in coordination, threat awareness, and regulatory implementation.
